Hello friends!

Sorry I have been missing in action...but I am back! And I'm looking forward to sharing the stuff I have been working on!

Today, I am headed to Salt Lake City for OnStage Live!!! This is Stampin' Up! convention held live in one place and shared around the world with other demonstrators! I am so excited because here...this weekend...we will see the upcoming Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs that will go live in January!!! We, as demos, can pre-order items in December so we can be prepared to share with you all of the great things in the catalog! (Talk about a great demo benefit!)

So right now...they have just closed the plane door...Salt Lake...here I come! I will share with you what I can this weekend and more to come in the near future!!!

Happy Stampin' all!!!!

Whoohoo Wednesday!

YAY!!! It is Wednesday so we are almost to the weekend! And the weather here right now is just AWESOME! So everybody say it with me now...WHOOHOO!!! Feels great right?!?! Today, I want to share with you what I created last night! I am still without my Big Shot (great news is that I am getting all new bearings and hope to have it up and running this weekend!) and therefore, am still back to basics - but the cool thing is that the basics aren't boring! In fact, I had fun last night putting this together - so many ideas that I played with until I finally settled on this one!

Check out my blog for simple instructions for this card! www.softspotstamping.com

The first thing I had fun doing was the background!  I used the Timeless Textures stamp set and just stamped the wood-grainy looking stamp all over the Very Vanilla Card stock.  And then came the non-traditional two-toned color daisy!  Seriously thinking this is a cool fall card!  Add some Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available September 1) and Burlap Ribbon (kind of shredded at the bottom) and VOILA!  The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons, but you could really choose whatever sentiment fits the moment - I chose this one because it fit in the Everyday Label Punch which will be available September 1!

Here are a couple of more shots of this so simple card -

I have to admit - I am really wanting to try some other color schemes for this card as well!  What colors do you think I should try?  Let me know in the comments below and I will make it my mission to create a card you want to see!

Have a great rest of the week, y'all!  And as always...

Happy Stamping!
