Getting Ready for Christmas
Ok - I have to admit it! I am getting excited about the upcoming holidays! I love the change in seasons and this cooler weather here in Iowa has definitely been a welcome change!
One of the things I have always loved about the holidays are the traditions! I remember as a kid we would all go get the tree together and decorate it - but the tinsel and icicles were put on by Mom and Dad - one...at...a...time! Our trees were so pretty! Dad would decorate our house outside - think Clark Griswold before he was a household name! And I remember making some of the decorations both inside and out - a tradition that I still love to try to do each year!
And for the past few years, I have gotten back into the tradition of mailing cards - HANDMADE cards! And why not?!? I have the stuff to do it so I just decided that I needed to do it! And I have had some really nice comments on the cards that I have sent...and that makes my heart happy! So I figured it was time to start making my cards for this year!
This is a card I made for a swap with cardmaking friends - and I thought I would share it with you tonight! Instructions and shopping list included - so when you decide you are ready to get what you need to make this card, just click on the "SHOP NOW" button on the right hand side!
