One of my favorite sets in the Occasions Catalog is the Beautiful You stamp set!  I like the versatility that it offers - glamour, style, compassion - you name it, you can create something unique for those special people in your life!

Here is a card that I made for my niece who has been a little down lately - even choosing the Dapper Denim color as it means something to our family right now!

Simple steps to get this done:
1. Use 5 1/2"x 4 1/4" sheet of Dapper Denim cardstock. Fold in half.
2. Cut a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of the Moroccan Designer Series Paper.
3. Cut a 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" sheet of Very Vanilla cardstock.
4. Stamp the dress and sentiment from Beautiful for You stamp set onto the Very Vanilla cardstock using the Basic Black Archival ink pad.  LET DRY!!
5. Stamp the swooshes (I don't really think this stamp has a specific name - it looks like a swoosh to me :-)!) using the Dapper Denim Classic Stampin' Pad on the Very Vanilla cardstock.
6. Using the Dapper Denim ink pad, get a little ink into the lid and dab your Blender Pen in the ink. Color in the dress using the Blender Pen with ink.  You can add as little or as much color as you want!
7.  For the colored pearls, I used the Dapper Denim Stampin' Write marker and colored the pearls - BUT...it does take some time to dry completely - I ended up with ink all over my fingers!  You could use just the plain pearls as well!
8. Attach the Very Vanilla to the Moroccan Designer Series paper using Snail Adhesive.
9. Finally, attach the completed portion to the Dapper Denim cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Happy March 5th!  And welcome to my blog - Soft Spot Stamping!  My name is Chelley and I am so excited to be sharing this part of my life with you all!  I am a Demonstrator with Stampin' Up! and love to use the products to create cards, scrapbook pages, and home decor!  And now I am sharing this with you all!

Today, I am launching my online business and will be sharing projects with you all and would love to help you get to creating!  I know someone out there is saying to themselves "I am not creative..."  You know what? You can do this!  I will help anyone and everyone - whether you consider yourself a beginner or advanced crafter - I am here to help along the way!

I have been a demonstrator since 2011 when I fell in the love with the Big Shot! I had to have it and asked how I could get it!  The demonstrator showed me how - and with her help - I joined her team and have been creating with the Stampin' Up! products ever since.

Why Stampin' Up! you may ask? I was that person - that went to the craft store and fell in love with so much stuff but could never make it coordinate...that always looked for creative ideas to start my own projects...that could never finish projects even though I have all of the stuff!  So with Stampin' Up!, I found that the colors were coordinated for me, that there are so many resources available to help me ignite my creativity when I'm just not feeling it, and that I could complete projects because it is so easy to coordinate!  So why not!

And why Soft Spot Stamping?  It's who I am!  I have a soft spot in my heart for just about anyone and everything!  Just ask my husband - he will tell you I can cry at the drop of a hat and that I want to help in whatever way I can!  I even cried when a bird flew into my windshield when I was driving one day - nothing I could do but I sure wanted that bird to be ok!

So here I am - putting myself out there for all of you and to help you along the way - no matter what you want to do!  This blog design will change a bit - still in the creative stages with that, but I will be here along the way!  Be sure to check out my Pinterest and Instagram accounts as I will be posting projects there - and my Facebook page will be updated as well with Facebook Live and Online Events as well! I am here for you!  And coming soon....a YouTube channel where I will share all sorts of things!

I love what I do and want to help inspire you as well!

Happy stamping!
Chelley
